Many things fall out of my brain, some land here.

I went to the Melbourne aquarium
$35 for adults is steep. Perhaps that’s just how much an aquarium costs to run? While I was waiting for my friends Rich & Chika to arrive, I practised quick manual focusing with the penguins.
It’s hard! Those guys don’t really slow down. I have some sharp photos, but I prefer the strange dreamlike photos better. I’ll put an album up. Keep an eye out.

Rennet? Never heard of it mate...
Three people at Woolworths in Box Hill didn't know what rennet is. One of them was the store manager. I should have asked a staff member over the age of 35. That may have helped.
If you're in Melbourne, or Victoria and want some rennet, try cheeselinks.com.au. They're in Geelong and have an online store. $8 will get you enough vegetarian rennet to do 250L of milk. $140 will get you enough to do 25,000L of milk.

html5shiv working on xampp localhost, but not on live site?
Check your camel-case consistency fool. Xampp doesn't care, but your webhosting server might.

Tell me a little about your background...
Sure. It's some jquery random magic that generates differently coloured overlapping semi-transparent circles based on your screen size.
It looks cool, but there's a heap of elements with opacity, which kills. The page gets pretty laggy. Other animations become pretty chunky.
Solution: dunno. I'll have a look at canvas. I think I can do the same random colour/scale generation. It's all jquery aye bro. What I'm not sure about is the combination of my texture png with the masking created by border-radius.
Anyone know how I can create the background, capture it as an image then replace the background with the generated image?

How to tear out your hair...
Problem: the facebook like button you’re adding to a site isn’t appearing. You’ve check all details and tried every method available, HTML5, XFBML, IFRAME, URL. Nothing looks wrong.
Solution: remember you have anti-facebook chrome extensions installed that kill like buttons.

Playing with my new dapping die
I thought I'd have an attempt at making a daruma, a traditional Japanese doll representing Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of buddhism. They're a neat mix of toy & symbology. I'd been taught they represented monks who had prayed so hard their arms and legs fell off.
When you buy one, the eyes are blank. Make a wish or set a goal and draw in one pupil. When that wish comes true, or you achieve your goal, draw in the other pupil. They come in many colours, but most commonly in red. The rich red of the heat treated copper is just a fluke.
Still deciding how I'll do the eyes. If I'd planned ahead, I could have soldered silver eyes as part of the back of the cut-out. Bulgy eyes would be good too.

Guell Park in Barcelona
I saw graffiti around Guell park that mentioned 23% or something. I'd asked about it and learned it was political. Lots of graffiti I saw was political. "Okupa y resiste" means "squat and resist". Apparently it should be 'ocupa' but k was adopted by Spanish punk and anachist movements.
